Midnight Tales stores story choices, discovered endings, reading preferences, and your AI permission on this device. There is no account or automatic cloud sync. Clearing browser data or uninstalling may erase progress. You can export a backup, restore it, or delete saved data in the app’s Privacy, support & saved data panel.
Only after you choose to allow AI actions, your typed text, selected story, inventory and recent choices are sent through Vercel to TypeSafe (Jev) and OpenAI for interpretation, content checks and optional narration. Story buttons do not send typed text to those providers. Avoid entering personal information. You can withdraw permission in game settings.
AI narration can be mistaken. Use Report this reply to flag a problem inside the app. Reporting shares that reply, story location, model, timestamp and your selected reason with the developer. We store reports privately on Vercel and automatically delete them after 30 days. Save the report reference if you contact support about it.
Our application logs request timing, story ID and success/failure, without intentionally logging your typed actions or AI replies. Hosting and AI providers may process request metadata, IP addresses and content under their own service and security policies. OpenAI Responses requests use store:false; this does not promise zero retention by providers.
This release contains no advertising, third-party behavioral analytics, location tracking, microphone recording or camera access. We do not sell personal data. We do not currently offer purchases or subscriptions.
These are fictional spooky mysteries intended for teens and adults, not a service directed to children under 13. The stories include missing family members, ghosts and unsettling situations. There are no jump scares or graphic illustrations.
